During the War...As previously stated, the concept of photojournalism during the Vietnam changed people’s opinions of war and caused the population to question the decisions of their government. Before the Vietnam war, the only evidence or photos of war available were the photographs of soldiers in their uniforms. People’s previous opinions of the ‘glory’ and adventure of war were shattered and destroyed by the realism of death and macabre captured in these photographs. Without these photos, nations would never truly understand their soldier’s suffering

Over the years, photojournalism has become even more important. With great and tragic events happening throughout the world, it is important that we have a way of documenting these events. With the help of photojournalism, we have been able to capture important historic events. The only disadvantage of photojournalism is the how it introduced so much horrific imagery, that current generations are not affected like others were. Unlike previous generations, this current generation is sensitised to the violence and gore displayed on tv screens. This has been reinforced by violent movies and videogames, which would never be permitted during an earlier point in time.
